In the small, quiet village of Bishanpur, Jattan in Punjab, Recently a story taken the attention of people not locally but across the country. This is a story about Lovepreet Singh, a young who lost his sister after rape, who lost his father in the shock of the rape. Omkar Singh was the rapist of his sister who is not alive now.

In 2015 when Omkar Singh, a resident of the same village, was convicted of raping a minor girl (15 years) — Lovepreet’s sister. The crime broken the family. The young girl, unable to came up with this trauma and passed away soon after the incident. Her death left a void that would never be filled. To make matters worse, her father, Sodi, died shortly after, unable to bear the loss of his daughter. On this time Lovepreet was just 10 years old.

Onkar raped a 14 year old girl in 2015 and arrested under POCSO, convicted & jailed for 10 years for the crime. After this incident the rape victim (Lovepreet’s Syster) had died a few months later (death not linked to that incident). Lovepreet’s father also died due to this shock. Lovepreet saw everything crumbling in front of him. His sister was gone, his father too, and their home was filled with the pain of what they had lost. The years that followed were hard on the family, as they struggled to move on from the horrific crime that had taken so much from them. Lovepreet never shake the anger inside him.

In 2021, Omkar Singh was released early due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This is the time for the Lovepreet Singh to take his revenge. The man who had destroyed his family’s happiness was now free to live his life, while Lovepreet’s family would never be whole again. The days passed and Lovepreet was making plans to take revenge. He was waiting for the right moment. He plan to kill the rapist of his sister. This plan is executed with the help of his friend Aakashdeep.

The Revenge Time

Since Onkar came out of jail, both Lovepreet and his friend had been behind him. Armed with sharp weapons, On 28th August the found Omkar Singh alone and they attacked Omkar near the village in an act of brutal vengeance. The attack was violent, and Omkar Singh was killed on the spot. Akashdeep Singh is arrest by the police in the charge of Omkar Singh murder and weapon and bike recovered from him.

For Lovepreet, this wasn’t just an act of rage—it was the only way he believed his family could find peace after years of pain.
